Call for Papers
(Regular Papers, Work-in-Progress Papers, and Demos)
Nanotechnologies empower the scientific and engineering communities with groundbreaking tools, enabling them not just to interface with existing systems at their most fundamental levels—the sub-atomic and molecular scales—but also to forge new paradigms harnessing physical phenomena inherent in micro- and nano-scales. From pioneering ultra-high-performance computing systems built on extensive chip networks and quantum computing and communication architectures, to revolutionary healthcare solutions and human-enhancement technologies rooted in synthetic biology, the spectrum of applications is vast. Achieving these advancements requires interdisciplinary collaboration, with teams bridging the realms of material science, physics, biology, chemistry, medicine, electrical and computer engineering, and computer science.
The 13th ACM International Conference on Nanoscale Computing and Communication (ACM NanoCom 2026) continues the legacy of its twelve previous editions by uniting experts ready to break barriers and bridge gaps across disciplines, both in academia and industry. ACM NanoCom 2026 aims to showcase novel research results and breakthrough ideas, while also identifying directions for short- and medium-term exploitation. Contributions encompassing both theoretical and experimental research are encouraged. The conference will feature keynote presentations at the forefront of this interdisciplinary field, alongside contributed and invited papers, work-in-progress papers, and demo presentations.
ACM NanoCom 2026 is endorsed by the Technical Committee on Molecular, Biological, and Multi-Scale Communications of the IEEE Communications Society.
We invite submissions in areas including (but not limited to) the following:
- Electronic, photonic, electromagnetic (terahertz, optical), and acoustic nanoscale computing and communication, including:

Innovative device concepts for signal generation, modulation, radiation, detection, filtering, amplification, and spectral expansion

Propagation and photothermal modeling of nanoscale electronic, photonic, electromagnetic, and acoustic signals

Disease-oriented solutions to diagnose and/or treat specific pathologies, such as neurodegenerative disorders, Alzheimer’s disease, schizophrenia, Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, cognitive impairments, motor disorders, cardiovascular pathologies, gastrointestinal diseases such as Crohn's disease, irritable bowel syndrome, pancreas or colon cancer, to name a few.
Call for Regular Papers
We solicit regular paper submissions describing original, completed, and unpublished work not accepted for publication elsewhere and currently not under review by any other event or journal.
Call for Work-in-Progress Papers
We invite abstract submissions to share late-breaking or work-in-progress results. This provides the chance for in-depth discussions with other conference attendees and are therefore especially well-suited for obtaining feedback on ongoing research or controversial ideas. Work-in-progress papers will be presented as posters in a dedicated session.
Call for Demos
We invite demo submissions that briefly describe the demonstration, how it supports innovative research results, and its value for the community. We solicit demonstrations that can be shown live at the conference, but we can also offer the opportunity for a virtual demonstration via livestream or remote interaction, as appropriate. The demo session offers a unique opportunity to demonstrate ground-breaking prototypes, illustrate innovative solutions, and discuss pertinent emerging technologies with the audience. Demos will be presented in a dedicated session and each demo will be accompanied by a poster.
Paper Submission
Papers submitted to ACM NanoCom 2026 must be original, not previously published or accepted for publication elsewhere, and they must not be submitted to any other event or publication during the entire review process.
Paper submissions should follow the ACM double-column format for conferences. Please be sure to use the latest ACM templates available at https://www.acm.org/publications/proceedings-template (use the “sample-sigconf.tex” template). All submitted papers will undergo peer review, as coordinated by the Technical Program Committee. The review is single-blind, that is, the author names should be listed on the submission.

- Regular and workshop papers are limited to 6 pages, but authors may submit a 7-page manuscript for review. Camera-ready regular papers that are 7 pages in length will be subject to an extra page charge detaliled here.

" Work-in-Progress: ". - Demo papers are limited to 2 pages and the title should begin with "Demo: ".

Important update on ACMs new open access publishing model for 2026 ACM Conferences!
Starting January 1, 2026, ACM will fully transition to Open Access. All ACM publications, including those from ACM-sponsored conferences, will be 100% Open Access. Authors will have two primary options for publishing Open Access articles with ACM: the ACM Open institutional model or by paying Article Processing Charges (APCs). With over 1,800 institutions already part of ACM Open, the majority of ACM-sponsored conference papers will not require APCs from authors or conferences (currently, around 70-75%).
Authors from institutions not participating in ACM Open will need to pay an APC to publish their papers, unless they qualify for a financial or discretionary waiver. To find out whether an APC applies to your article, please consult the list of participating institutions in ACM Open and review the APC Waivers and Discounts Policy. Keep in mind that waivers are rare and are granted based on specific criteria set by ACM.
Authors from institutions not participating in ACM Open will need to pay an APC to publish their papers, unless they qualify for a financial or discretionary waiver. Geographic APC Waivers and Discounts:
Understanding that this change could present financial challenges, ACM has approved a geographic waiver through a temporary subsidy for 2026 to ease the transition and allow more time for institutions to join ACM Open. The subsidy will offer:- $250 USD APC for ACM/SIG members
- $350 USD for non-members
Financial Hardship APC Waivers:
ACM authors not covered by ACM Open or a geographic waiver may apply for a financial hardship waiver from ACM. Geographic waivers will be processed automatically, so authors need take no additional steps if they are eligible for a geographic waiver or discount. This temporary subsidized pricing will apply to all conferences scheduled for 2026.Important Dates
