ACM NanoCom 2025 || CFP ACM NanoCom 2025 - Workshop on Terahertz Communications - CFP ACM NanoCom 2025

Scope

As wireless networks continuously evolve towards higher frequency bands, terahertz (THz) communication, spanning from 0.1 THz to 10 THz, emerges as a critical frontier for next- generation systems, including nano-scale communication networks. Terahertz frequencies offer transformative potential, providing ultra-high-speed data transmission surpassing terabit- per-second rates, sub-millimeter spatial resolution for precise sensing and localization, ultra- low latency, and intrinsic security from narrow beamwidths and molecular absorption.

Nevertheless, major challenges remain, such as severe atmospheric propagation losses, molecular absorption-induced attenuation, device and material constraints, and complex channel modeling. Integrating Terahertz communications into existing frameworks also requires managing sophisticated coexistence strategies with mmWave, sub-6GHz, and optical technologies. Addressing these challenges calls for multidisciplinary research involving advances in nanotechnology, tailored signal processing algorithms, and novel networking protocols. This workshop invites original contributions bridging theoretical insights and practical implementations, encouraging discussions that foster breakthroughs in fundamental science and applied engineering for Terahertz communication.

We seek original completed and unpublished work not currently under review by any other journal/magazine/conference. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Terahertz transceiver technologies and architectures
  • Antenna design and massive antenna arrays for Terahertz communications
  • Fundamental limits and information-theoretic studies of Terahertz channels
  • Terahertz channel modeling and characterization
  • Advanced modulation techniques and waveform optimization
  • Terahertz beamforming, precoding, and MIMO technologies
  • Novel MAC protocols for Terahertz networks
  • Interference management and mitigation techniques for Terahertz communications
  • Nano-scale networks for Terahertz communications
  • Cross-layer optimization strategies for Terahertz communications
  • Integrated sensing and communication for Terahertz communications
  • Network-level modeling, simulations, and performance evaluation
  • Terahertz communications integration with mmWave and optical wireless systems
  • Experimental validations and system-level demonstrations of Terahertz networks
  • Emerging applications of Terahertz communication in biomedical, industrial IoT, and aerospace domains

ACM Publication Policies

By submitting your article to an ACM Publication, you are hereby acknowledging that you and your co-authors are subject to all ACM Publications Policies, including ACM's new Publications Policy on Research Involving Human Participants and Subjects. Alleged violations of this policy or any ACM Publications Policy will be investigated by ACM and may result in a full retraction of your paper, in addition to other potential penalties, as per ACM Publications Policy.

Please ensure that you and your co-authors obtain an ORCID ID, so you can complete the publishing process for your accepted paper. ACM has been involved in ORCID from the start and we have recently made a commitment to collect ORCID IDs from all of our published authors. We are committed to improve author discoverability, ensure proper attribution and contribute to ongoing community efforts around name normalization; your ORCID ID will help in these efforts.
