Registration

Early registration for the ACM NanoCom 2022 virtual conference is open.

Discounted early registration will be available until September 23, 2022. After this deadline, registrations will be accepted at the late registration rate.

Registration is required for all participants of ACM NanoCom 2022. One FULL registration (ACM Member or Non-ACM Member) is needed to register up to 2 papers.

Regular papers are nominally limited to 6 pages. Regular papers with 7 pages are allowed and an extra page charge of €100 is required.

Please note:

  1. The Whole Conference Attendance Registrations include one copy of the proceedings, admittance to all paper, tutorial, poster, event sessions, and social dinner at ACM NanoCom 2022
  2. Horizon Europe Collaboration Session, Women in ACM/IEEE WICE Luncheon, and Social Dinner events are included with ANY Whole Conference Attendance registration. They can also be purchased stand-alone if not registering for whole conference attendance.
  3. The FULL registration type covers up to two registered papers. The Student registration type does NOT cover any registered paper.
  4. If you are an ACM student member, your student status will be automatically validated by Cvent with your ACM membership email address. If the validation is successful, you will notice that the only registration items you will be able to purchase will have the ACM student member reduced rates.

Terms and Conditions

All payments are processed through CVENT, and the ACM NanoCom 2022 organization committee has no liability whatsoever. Student registration rates are available to full-time students only.

Refund/Cancellation Policy

All refund requests must be made in writing to financechairs@nanocom.acm.org and received no later than September 23, 2022. Requests received by September 23, 2022 will receive a full refund less a €100 processing fee. For those who pay by credit card, refunds can only be processed to the credit card to which the original charge was made. Processing of the refunds may take over 30 days. No refunds will be processed for cancellations after September 23, 2022. Extra page charges are non-refundable.

Payment Methods

  • Credit Card is the suggested method for the registration fee. Wire transfer is also available.

Early Registration

Early registrations (i.e., before September 23, 2022) without real payment actions will be canceled. Attendees have to go through the online process again, and will not be considered as early registration.

Student Whole Conference Attendance Registration includes one copy of the proceedings, admittance to all paper, tutorial, poster, event sessions, and social dinner at ACM NanoCom 2022. Student registration rates are available to full-time students only.

Horizon Europe Collaborative Session is included in the whole conference attendance registrations. It can also be purchased stand-alone if not registering for whole conference attendance.

Women In ACM/IEEE WICE Luncheon is included in the whole conference attendance registrations. It can also be purchased stand-alone if not registering for whole conference attendance.

Extra Ticket for Social Dinner includes an extra ticket for the Social Dinner hosted on Thursday, October 6th. It can also be purchased stand-alone if not registering for whole conference attendance.


Visa Support

REQUESTING VISA SUPPORT LETTERS

ACM is able to provide visa support letters to attendees as well as authors with accepted papers, posters, or members of the conference committee. To obtain a letter, please send your request to supportletters@acm.org and include the following information:

  • Name (as it appears on attendee's passport) and mailing address.
  • The name of the conference attendees is registering for.
  • Attendee's registration confirmation number.
  • Authors may indicate their paper title. Speakers can provide the title of their talk.
  • Include a fax number or email address of where letter can be sent.

Please allow up to one week to receive it. All requests are handled in the order they are received.



Camera Ready Instructions

Please read these instructions carefully and note that you need submit ZIP file containing both PDF and and source files to EDAS following all these guidelines.

Authors of accepted papers will get rights review forms from ACM. As rights management emails are sent from an automated system, there is a chance that emails sent will wind up in SPAM folders. Please make sure that you and your authors set email SPAM settings to allow emails from "rightsreview@acm.org". Please fill the rights management forms immediately after getting them.

Once the authors submit their rights review forms, they will receive a confirmation message from ACM that includes rights management text and bibliographic strip to place within their paper. Authors must must enter the text into their paper following exactly the ACM email.

Before using the ACM Master article template, you need to read the instructions file available at above site (instructions are provided for latex and word users). It is important that you follow the instructions provided.

ACM offers 24/7 author support for these templates through their vendor, Aptara. If you have TeX/MS-Word template problems or inquiries please contact acmtexsupport@aptaracorp.com.

Please apply ACM Computing Classification categories and terms. The templates provide space for this indexing and point authors to the Computing Classification Scheme at: https://www.acm.org/publications/class-2012

Fonts must be embedded. PDF file should have Type 1 fonts (scalable), not Type 3 (bit-mapped).

Here is how you can check that fonts have been embedded:
  1. Open file in Adobe Acrobat or Reader
  2. Click on the "File" menu option
  3. Click on "Document Properties"
  4. Click on the "Fonts" tab
  5. Each font listed should have "(Embedded) or "(Embedded Subset)" next to the font name. If some font(s) is(are) missing this text, then fonts have not been properly embedded and the PDF is not acceptable for ACM publication.
Submit a ZIP file to EDAS containing the PDF with fonts embedded (following all guidelines in this email) and containing also your source files (Word file, Latex files + figures needed to compile the PDF).

Paper title cannot be changed from the one in EDAS and entered into copyright form. This is because the ACM copyright form information must exactly match the paper information.

The authors should use this information to prepare the camera-ready version of their paper and submit it through EDAS by August 31st. Thank you very much for following these instructions and thus helping us to make sure that the online publication in ACM Digital Library can occur in the first day of the conference.

Instructions for Poster Session Presenters

Short paper presenters should prepare and print their posters in A0 size with portrait orientation. Presenters are responsible for bringing their posters to the conference venue. Poster boards will be available all day on 6 October, and the presenters should place their posters in the morning.

In addition to traveling with your poster, you can consider printing it at Alfambra Copisteria which is 5-min walking distance from the venue. Check their website for more information.
