Camera Ready Instructions
Please read these instructions carefully and note that you need submit a ZIP file containing both PDF and and source files to HotCRP following all these guidelines.
Paper Titles and Author Lists: Please first finalize the paper titles and author lists on HotCRP, ensuring that these details align with those in the PDF document. Please also remove any pre-submission labels such as "Demo:" or "Work-in-Progress:" from your title, as these were only required during the initial submission. The finalized details are needed by ACM for the collection of eRights agreements through HotCRP.
ACM eRights Forms: Upon the finalization of paper titles and author lists, you will be prompted automatically by the HotCRP system to complete ACM's eRights agreements. At this stage, the system will also guide you on what details to include in the copyright blocks of your camera-ready paper.
ACM Proceedings Template: You are required to use the ACM Proceedings template (sigconf) for your paper. This template is available at
http://www.acm.org/publications/proceedings-template. Prior to use of ACM Primary article template, please read and follow the instructions provided for both LaTeX and MS Word users.
ACM Template Support: ACM provides 24/7 support for their templates through their vendor, Aptara. If you encounter issues or have inquiries regarding the TeX/MS-Word templates, you can reach out to
acmtexsupport@aptaracorp.com.
ACM Computing Classification: Please import the required indexing concepts for your article from the ACM Computing Classification System (CCS) (
https://dl.acm.org/ccs) using the indexing support tool, which generates the necessary TeX code once you have selected your terms (and generates XML for Word documents).
Copyright Text: After completing the eRights form on HotCRP, the system will generate the required copyright text, including the bibliographic strip, ISBN, and DOI. This text must be entered in the copyright blocks of your camera-ready paper following exactly the ACM’s instructions. Below is an example of the copyright text:
Font Requirements: The PDF file should use Type 1 (scalable) fonts and avoid Type 3 (bit-mapped) fonts. Additionally, all fonts must be embedded in the final PDF. Instructions for confirming font embedding in Adobe Acrobat or Reader can be found below.
- Open the file
- Select the "File" menu
- Click on "Document Properties"
- Click on the "Fonts" tab
- Each listed font should have "Embedded" or "Embedded Subset" next to its name.
- If this text is absent, then the fonts have not been properly embedded, and the PDF will not be acceptable for ACM publication.
Final Upload: Lastly, please upload a ZIP file containing the final PDF with embedded fonts, along with the source files (Word file or LaTeX files + associated figures) to HotCRP.
We kindly request that you adhere to these instructions while preparing the camera-ready version of your paper and submit it through HotCRP by August 31st. Your cooperation is essential to ensure that the online publication in the ACM Digital Library is ready for the first day of the conference.
